Batch and lot tracking with expiration date management

Ensure quality control and regulatory compliance for batch-tracked products. 1. Enable Batch Tracking: In Inventory → Products, edit an item and enable 'Track Batch / Lot Numbers'. 2. Goods Receipt: When receiving purchase orders or production runs, enter the vendor batch number, manufacturing date, and expiry date. Quantities are segregated by batch. 3. Dispatch Strategy (FEFO): When creating sales orders or POS sales, the system automatically suggests the earliest-expiring batch (First Expired, First Out) to minimize waste. 4. Expiration Alerts: Monitor the Expiry Dashboard to identify items approaching expiration within 30, 60, or 90 days. 5. Recall Traceability: In case of a product recall, search the batch number to view every supplier receipt, warehouse transfer, and customer invoice associated with that specific lot.
